Suffolk & Borders Light Railway

At Bressingham Steam Museum

Who Are We

The Suffolk and Borders Light Railway is a permanent 16mm narrow gauge layout operated and maintained by the East  Anglian group of the 16mm Association.

It is based at the Bressingham Steam Museum where it is available to any member of the association to use with consent.

The Anglian region members also organise garden events where members can meet and run their stock normally during the spring and summer months.

We are especially fortunate though to have the facility at Bressingham, where the group run most weekends and support the museum by operating during their events and most days during the Santa specials around the Xmas period.

We are a very informal group who solely exist to yarn and watch steam trains, we do not count rivets or worry about a mixture of rolling stock, we do however insist on having a good time and eating cake.

The group is also fortunate to have in its number a variety of people with different skills for help and advice.

If you live in the area or are passing through and fancy a steam up then please contact one of the core members detailed on the contacts section and drop in.
